ACRYLICS – Get It Right From the Start
All Levels

Acrylics is an exciting medium that can be used on many surfaces including paper, canvas, Masonite, wood and even cardboard. It can be used traditionally as well as creatively. This class will take you from the beginning steps and lead you through directed lessons, to explore the many ways that this wonderful medium can be used. You will not only learn technique, but about brushes, mediums, color theory, and composition. Fun and exciting projects will be utilized to entice creative exploration. This method of learning to paint with acrylics has been very successful. It will help to prepare you to become the artist that you want to be.

ABOUT KERRY
“My personal style runs from stylized realism to abstract expressionism, and subjects that excite me at the moment. I enjoy the experimentation of the painting process rather than a particular subject and feel that art is spontaneous and strikes when the mood hits.” I graduated from the University of Cincinnati at the College of Design, Art and Architecture and began my creative life as an Art Director with a fortune 500 company and as an artist at local art shows. After a few years I founded an award winning national marketing and design firm as President and Creative Director. During those years, I remained active in fine arts by teaching and painting with further studies at the University of Cincinnati, The Cincinnati Art Academy at the the Art Museum and Artist Magazine. I am currently a full time artist, painting from my studio in St.. Petersburg, Florida, teaching acrylic painting, giving workshops and continuing my studies with the Dazzle Art Group and Judi Dazzio.
