This drawing class will emphasize drawing for enjoyment, a means of expressing ideas. Through a variety of exercises and tools, the student will progress . Understanding and trying new materials, tools and techniques is important in each session. Building a solid drawing foundation formed on black and white study is essential. Later, exploration of color and other dry, wet and mixed media are creatively examined. Through structured lessons, you will see rapid improvement in your work.

ABOUT DOUG LAND

Doug is one of the most popular drawing teachers in the area. He is not only knowledgeable, but he is an excellent instructor who knows how to build confidence in each student and will help improve the drawing skills of all levels of artists. He does this with patience and individual help. He is a rare teacher.
Doug has a B.A. degree from the University of Indianapolis, as well as certificates from the Master Art program of Thomson Education Direct and the Fundamentals of Fine Art Program of North Light Art School. He has studied at U.S.F. and S.P.C.. He has studied with Jack Barrett, Janet Echelman, Jean Grastorf, Philip Pearlstein and Nelson Shanks. He teaches all levels of drawing including Figure drawing. in St. Petersburg, Houston and HCAA in Bellaire, Texas.
