Everyone who took Carol Frye’s workshop had a mess of fun!!!”

The opening reception of “The Streets” exhibition during the St. Petersburg Gallery Walk on April 14th, was a resounding success with more than 300 people enjoying the art and food!.  Along with “The Streets” exhibit, we also had “The Zoo” paintings of Rhinos and Bison for the enjoyment of the crowd. These exhibits will be up for view for the summer months.

The Dazzio artists took a roadtrip to the Tampa Museum of Art to view the work of the Southern artist Romare Bearden. The exhibit will be up through May 6, 2012. His wonderful collages prompted some ideas for our “summer camp” at the Dazzio Art Experience.

Mixing It Up With Mixed Media Only $249 for all 3 Days

Dazzio Art Experience is so excited to present this opportunity to take a workshop with one of today’s top, most successful artists. She is so creative and will open you up to new ideas and ways of working. It doesn’t matter if you are a realist , expressionist or abstractionist , you will benefit from working with Carol Frye.
A fun class designed to play with canvases and some artistic, innovative ways to use them. Using your choice of medium, we will mix media, and build layers to produce a variety of textures and concepts. Adding tiny little canvases to our main canvas offers a vast opportunity for creativity. Placing a Canvas within a Canvas forms a window of opportunity certain to intrigue both the artist and the viewer.

Class includes an introductions to abstract design, some simple and inexpensive ways to create altered papers, a few ways to create surface textures, and invites the student to see the world through new eyes, as “found art” is collaged or embedded into the artwork.

You can count on plenty of personal one on one attention, and a final critique session designed to help all of us.

We believe all people are meant to be creative. If you ever feel you might want to draw or paint – or maybe you don’t even know what you would like to do yet – come through our door and talk to us.
